DATA ENTRY PROCESSOR

The Data Entry Processor prepares legal documents for service of process. This is a crucial process in our business. The incumbent will be responsible for the initiation of the job by preparing a cover sheet with instructions on who, where, what and how to serve the provided legal documents. We use service of process specific software that allows for accurate and easy case management processing. We work with several attorneys, attorney services, businesses, collection agencies and consumers; state, nation and worldwide. This position will ultimately include the responsibilities and duties below:

  • Receiving and reviewing legal documents for service
  • Assistance to Supervising Process Coordinator in maintaining & responding to incoming emails, documents for service and phone calls
  • Preparing work orders directing our process servers on service
  • Education and retention of multiple rules of process nation, state, county wide and by jurisdiction (Legalese provides training, tools and education necessary)
  • Microsoft Office/Basic knowledge of with the ability to prepare cover sheets and business letters
  • Outlook Experience/Ability to retrieve, respond, send and navigate
  • Researching addresses, business entities and individuals
  • Scanning documents and managing them per our process software
  • File Maintenance/keep files maintained and in order

DCSS PROOFINGS AND BILLING SPECIALIST

Legalese is in search of the right individual to fill the position as our Sacramento County Department of Child Support Services Proofing and Billing Specialist.

The DCSS Proofing and Billing Specialist reviews completed service of process for our in-house servers and to our affiliate servers and coordinates service of process out-side of our serviced counties. We use service of process specific software that allows for accurate and easy case management processing.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Coordinating and Dispersing Service of Process with affiliates and County Sheriffs
  • Receiving and reviewing incoming completed service of process
  • Communication with process servers regarding service of process
  • Invoicing services upon completion and proofing
  • Communicating and working with the Process Coordinator
  • Responding and Corresponding with Sac Co DCSS legal staff
  • Education and retention of multiple rules for service of process
  • Maintaining Files of work in progress

SERVICE OF PROCESS COORDINATOR

Legalese Attorney Service, LLC, is in search of a passionate and dedicated administrative professional to fill the position as our Service of Process Coordinator. Legalese is growing and looking for the right person that is up for the challenge and ready to grow with us.

The incumbent will process and coordinate various legal documents in preparation and completion of service of process. We use service of process specific software that allows for accurate and easy case management processing. We work with several attorneys, attorney services, businesses, collection agencies and consumers; state, nation and worldwide.

This position will ultimately include the responsibilities and duties below:

  • Communication with clients by phone, email and in person
  • Tracking, maintaining and responding to emails from clients
  • Processing documents for service: receiving, entering, preparing, distributing, tracking, closing, and invoicing Coordinating service of process geographically within our immediate counties of service
  • Coordinating service of process in our non-immediate servicing counties, state and worldwide.
  • Communicating with and instructing process servers effectively on service of process Learning, maintaining and retaining multiple rules for service of process, regarding multiple legal documents (education and training will be provided)
  • Maintaining effective communication and coordination with the CEO regarding daily tasks and urgent issues

FIELD STAFF 

Legalese Attorney Service, LLC, is in search of the right person to join our team as a court runner/process server. Legalese is growing and in need of a hardworking and diligent individual.

Our runners and process servers are employed, while, other process serving companies hire independent contractors to serve their legal documents, Legalese, prefers to hire process servers as employees. This allows our servers to work at an hourly rate and all their taxes are taken care of on their paycheck. Legalese prefers to hire individuals with little to no experience with process serving. We prefer to train our servers.

COURT RUNNER/PROCESS SERVER 

This is a part-time position, ranging anywhere from two-five days a week. The shifts are four-hour shifts. The schedule consists of three weekdays and could expand to five-days a week. We are very flexible and can work with your schedule.

Candidates that are ideal for this position are usually individuals in college or on the path to a legal career, people in legal positions looking for supplemental income, or someone that does not like to be in the office under direct supervision. This position allows for you to work independently, while working a regular part-time work schedule under the direction and instruction of an attorney service with over 40 years’ experience.

A court runner files, retrieves and researches legal documents in our nine servicing counties. Our court runners must have a friendly demeanor and be able to communicate effectively with the court clerks. The court runner will also serve legal documents to various business entities and service the California Secretary of State.

Intelligence, professional appearance and positive attitude are important qualities that we are looking for.

Legalese was founded in 1978, by a man with a knack for coordinating and training process servers to ensure the most effective form of service. He was able to take a person with no experience and teach them the correct way to serve legal documents. We believe in training our process servers from the bottom up. While, Legalese, won’t turn someone away with some court running process serving experience, Legalese welcomes those with no experience.
